In the Event of…: The Sway of Events in Politics

People come to conclusions on how to vote in all sorts of different ways. Some let the performance of candidates during debates sway them, others let major happenings on the campaign trail resonate in their mind as they step into the voting booth. Should any of it matter? Does it really mean anything or is it just a point of conversation for people to latch on to? Does it say anything about how a person would govern?
